Prof Dr Drhc. Julio Acero is Head of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of the Ramon y Cajal University and the Puerta de Hierro University Hospitals in Madrid, Spain, Full Professor of Maxillofacial Surgery at the Alcala University of Madrid He studied Medicine and Dentistry and obtained his PhD at the university in Madrid. Dr. Acero was Research Fellow at the Spanish National Institute of Health and Fellow of the Council of Europe in Germany as well as Fellow of the European Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Fellow Ad eundem of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Member of the Spanish National Academy of Dental Sciences . His special fields of interest are oncologic and reconstructive surgery of the head and neck and salivary gland pathology, as well as bone regeneration.

He has lectured and published widely in these fields and has been appointed as invited Professor in different universities around the world including the official appointments of Honorary Professor at the University of Ferrara (Italy), the University of Belgrade (Serbia) and the University of Bucharest (Romania), Visiting Professor at the University of Florida in Jacksonville (USA) and Doctor Honoris Causa (University of Iasi, Romania). Honorary Member of the OMFS Societies of Argentina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Italy, Turkey and Macedonia. IAOMS Outstanding Committee Member Award presented in the ICOMS, Shanghai 2009, Humanitarian Award of the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, presented in Puerto Rico 2016.

President of the IAOMS 2016-2017, past Director of the Fellowships Committee of the IAOMS, Past Chairman of the IAOMS Education Committee, Dr. Acero was the Education and Training Officer of the European Association of Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgery, currently President of the European Association. Past Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the Spanish Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Past-President of the Spanish Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He has been organizing and coordinating international educational programmes in OMF Surgery throughout the world: Eastern Europe (Poland, Romania, Bulgaria and Skopje), Latin America (Peru, Paraguay, El Salvador), Asia ( Indonesia, Philippines) and Africa (Kenya, Tanzania,Nigeria)

Dr. Payam Afzali is a Board Certified Clinical Professor at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) and is the Chairman of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) Residency Program at Highland Hospital, the only level one trauma center in Oakland, California. He earned his Dental Degree (DDS) at Columbia University in New York, as well as both his OMFS Residency Certificate and Medical Degree (MD) at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). He completed postgraduate training in both Head and Neck Microvascular Surgery and Pediatric Craniomaxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Afzali has participated in over 30 volunteer humanitarian missions both nationally and internationally. He has held multiple leadership positions in the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and is the current North American Co-Representative to the NextGen Committee of the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (IAOMS). He is an Author and Co-Author of multiple book chapters and articles in national and international journals. Dr. Afzali is interested in full scope OMFS, with specific fields of interest in global health, oncology, trauma and pediatric craniofacial surgery.

Dr. Carlos Alberto Alvarado Galvez is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at the Hospital del Niño Jose Renan Esquivel in Panama as well as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at the Hospital Nacional in Panama. His academic training includes a diploma in Evidence-Based Dentistry from the University of Chile in 2010, a specialist in Macillofacial Surgery and Traumatology at the University of Chile in 2011, a Doctorate of Oral Health Sciences in Maxillofacial Surgery from Graduate School of Medical and Dental Sciences in 2009 and a Dental Surgeon from Panama University in 2000 . Dr. Alvarado is a member of the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (IAOMS) and the Panamanian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (APCOM).

Grace Chen is an oral & maxillofacial surgeon from Taiwan. She obtained her Master’s of Dentistry at Kaoshiung Medical University in 2006. She completed her residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery in 2011 at China Medical University Hospital, where she is currently an attending physician in the department of OMS. She did a short training in sleep surgery at Stanford University Hospital in 2018.  Her daily practice is focused on OgS and sleep surgery. She is working towards obtaining her PhD in bone biology at China Medical University.

 Dr. Chow belongs to the first batch of locally trained Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons in Hong Kong by the late Professor Henk Tideman. Dr. Chow is a pioneer in immediate loading, guided surgery, Zygomatic implants, and digital implant dentistry. Dr. Chow has published many related articles in peer review journals; moreover, he has authored several book chapters and he is also the chief editor of a textbook on Zygomatic implants. Besides treating patients, Dr. Chow has been lecturing extensively in the region and internationally. In addition, he is running his own 3D printing facility for medical and dental applications.

Dr. Julio Cifuentes graduated from the Universidad de Chile in 1985. He is the Chair of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department Clinica Aleman in Santiago, Chile. He was also the President of the Chilean Society of Oral and Maxillo Facial Surgeons from 2004 to 2006 and 2010 to 2012. Dr. Cifuentes is a Full Professor at the Universidad del Desarrollo – Clínica Alemana School of Dentistry and Faculty of Medicine in Santiago, Chile. His practice is limited to Orthognatic Surgery and Sleep Medicine. Dr. Cifuentes is a member of the following associations: International Association of Oral and Maxillo Facial Surgeons (IAOMS), American Association of Oral and Maxillo Facial Surgeons (AAOMS), Latin-American  Association of Oral and Maxillo Facial Surgeons (ALACIBU), World Association of Sleep Medicine, Chilean Association of OMFS, Chilean Association of Sleep Medicine and Spanish Association of OMFS.

Dr. Fernandes is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with Certificate of Added Qualification in Head and Neck Oncology and Microvascular Surgery by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is a Professor of Surgery at the University of Florida College of Medicine Jacksonville. Dr. Fernandes is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (ad. Hominem), as well as many other surgical and medical associations in the USA.

MDr. Manuel Loaiza Gonzalez, is a dentist, specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery from Colombia, with 8 years of experience in the specialty, an undergraduate and graduate teacher from the Autonomous University of Manizales in Colombia, a maxillofacial surgeon in several hospitals in the region, his private practice is focused on dental implants. An active member of the Colombian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Alacibu and IAOMS, certified by the Latin American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Traumatology, FELLOW Iaoms, belongs to the ACCOMF Board of Directors as a representative of the coffee region in Colombia.

Dr. Ronar A. Gudiño is a DDS at the Central University of Venezuela as well as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon of The Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho University. He is in International Rotation with Dr. Larry Wolford at Baylor Medical Hospital Dallas Texas and an Assistant Professor of the Postgraduate Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Hospital General del Oeste "Los Magallanes de Catia". Dr. Gudiño is a Service chief of the Service of Maxillofacial Surgery Hospital Universitario de Caracas as well as an Assistant Professor of the Stomatological Surgery Service at the Faculty of Dentistry of the Central University of Venezuela. He is also a Professor of the Postgraduate Program of Oral Surgery at the Faculty of Dentistry of the Central University of Venezuela. Dr. Gudiño Blue Sky Bio Expert, International speaker and has a Private Practice in the Otorhinolaryngology and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Service Maxilocare – Urológico San Román in Caracas, Venezuela.

Piet Haers was Clinical Director and Consultant Cleft and OMF Surgeon at the South-Thames Cleft Service, Evelina Children's Hospital in London, and is Past-President of IAOMFS and Editor-in -Chieft Emeritus of the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He continues his clinical practice, as well as lecturing and publishing mainly in the areas of Cleft lip and palate surgery, 3D imaging, orthognathic surgery, TMJ, and complex dental implant based oral rehabilitation.

Lilis Iskandar is a PhD candidate at the Centre for Oral, Clinical & Translational Sciences – Faculty of Dentistry, Oral & Craniofacial Sciences – King’s College London. Her research focuses on bone tissue engineering for oral and maxillofacial surgery (OMS) and her current study is fully sponsored by Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education. She is a dentist graduated from Universitas Indonesia. She co-founded and currently lead Nusantara Innovation Forum, a collaborative global forum for researchers, professionals, students, and entrepreneurs aspiring to promote Indonesian development through research and innovation. Upon finishing her PhD, her plan is to continue her clinical training in OMS.

Prof. Laureano Filho graduated in Dentistry from Dental School of Federal University of Pernambuco - Recife - Brazil (1989 -1994). He has a Master and PhD in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from Unicamp - University of Campinas in Brazil (1997-2001). Dr. Filho was a Research Fellow of Kaiser Permanente Oakland Medical Center in Oakland, California (2007-2008), as well as an Associate Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Pernambuco in Brazil. He is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at Restauração Hospital in Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil.

Dr. Georg Mailath-Pokorny was a Consultant of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2018 at the Medical University in Vienna, a Doctor of Dental Medicine in 2013 at the Medical University in Vienna and a Doctor of Medicine in 2009 at the Medical University Vienna. Dr. Georg Mailath-Pokorny is a member of the European Association for Osseointegration, the Austrian Association of Implantology and the Next Generation of the Austrian Association of Implantology.

Since 2014, Dr. Georg Mailath-Pokorny has had a private medical office. Since 2015, Dr. Georg Mailath-Pokorny has been an Assistant Physician for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the General Hospital in Vienna and an Occupation at the Academy of Oral Implantology with focus on oral surgery and implantology, operation and organisation of the “Study Club 4 Students” since 2017. Since 2019, Dr. Georg Mailath-Pokorny has worked at the Clinic of Oral Mucosa at the Academy of Oral Implantology.

 Dr. Ludwing Manuel Alfredo Mendez Fuentes is from El Salvador, Central America. He graduated as a dentistry at Evangelical University from El Salvador, 2004. He also graduated in pedagogical studies at the National University of El Salvador, 2004. His hospital residence of OMFS was at the Hospital Rosales from El Salvador 2005-2008. Dr. Méndez has worked at Evangelical University (UEES) as pharmacology and oral surgery professor, in addition to Autonomus University Santa Ana (UNASA) as a physiology professor, oral surgery chief and professor in dentistry school besides at medicine school at the areas of facial trauma and Head and Neck tumors. Actually, I´m working with National University from El Salvador (UES), as a professor of the Trainees program in OMFS at the Rosales Hospital. He is President of ASCBM , the Salvadorean association of oral and maxillofacial surgeon from 2019-2021. Dr. Méndez is also an ALACIBU fellow since 2017 and belong ALACIBU education committee, as well as an IAOMS Fellow.

Dr. Gabriele Millesi is the 2020/2021 President of the IAOMS (International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons). She is a member of the Austrian Association of OMS and General Surgery, a member of the European Association of Cranio Maxillofacial Surgery and an Honorary Member of the South African Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Millesi focuses in Orthognathic Surgery as well as Preposthetic and Oral Surgery. She is an Author and Co-author of multiple articles in national and international journals (www.millesi.at).

Dr. Kei-ichiro Miura is an assistant professor at Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, TOHOKU UNIVERSITY Graduate School of Dentistry, Japan. He is a member of Japanese Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (JSOMS) and is Board Certified Specialist in Japanese Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (2016). And he is a member of International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (IAOMS) and is certified as Fellow of the International Board for the Certification of Specialists in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (FIBCSOMS) (2018). He is engaged in translational research of BONE REGENERATION especially in reconstruction of oral and maxillofacial region.

Dr. Daniel Nastri took up residence in OMS at CEDDAR Brazil, is also specialist in TMJ and orofacial pain and also in Oralfacial Harmony. He is a professor at Institute NUPEN for training in high and low power laser. He was president of Brazilian Society of OMS (SOBRACIBU) during the 2013/2015 and 2015/2017 administrations. He is accredited by the ALACIBU Board and currently Co Chairman of the ALACIBU education committee.

Dr. Sergio Olate´s practice is based in Chile. Dr. Olate is Associate Professor and Deputy Director of the Center for Morphological and Surgical Research (CEMyQ) at University of La Frontera and Head at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of the L.A.G.P. Hospital. 

Dr. Raul Parra is a specialist in Oral Surgery at the Central University of Venezuela. He is a member of the Venezuelan Society of Oral-Maxillofacial Surgery, Venezuelan Society of Oral Pathology and the Venezuelan Society of Buco-Maxillofacial Imaging. Dr. Parra is the former president of the Venezuelan Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from 2007 to 2009. He is an ALACIBU Member and the Former president of International Congress of the Bucomaxillofacial Surgery and Traumatology Association (CIALACIBU) in Venezuela in 2013. Dr. Parra was the Coordinator of the Education Committee of the Latin American Association of Surgery and Traumatology (ALACIBU) from 2013-2015 and 2015-2017. Dr. Parra is currently the President of the Latin American Association of Bucomaxillofacial Surgery and Traumatology (ALACIBU). Period 2019-2021. Dr. Parra was a visiting professor at the Residence of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Catholic University in Buenos Aires, Argentina and is a Director of the Metropolitan Center for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Dental Implants.

Dr. Jose Antonio Garcia Piña got his Dental Degree at the UPAEP, in Puebla, Mexico graduated with honors and obtained the 1st place of his country (MEXICO) in their National board for dental examination in 2007, after dental school he made an Externship in the OMFS program at the UTH University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. He finished his OMS residence in 2013 in Mexico City in Hospital Regional Lic. Adolfo Lopez Mateos, ISSSTE graduated with honors and achieved the 1st place in the Mexican Board Exam for Maxillofacial Surgeons. From 2013-2015 he made A fellowship in Rhino-Maxillofacial surgery at the medical school of the UNAM (Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México) with complete dedication to nose and facial aesthetic surgery. Since 2015 he co-founded a fellowship course for Maxillofacial surgeons with a 1 year duration dedicated only to teach nose and facial aesthetic surgery having fellows from all Latin-America. In 2017 he spend some months in Sidney Australia with Dr. Paul Lloyd Getty Coceancig to learn Inter-Molar Mandibular Distraction Osteogenesis technique. Nowadays he is professor of Orthognathic surgery in the Orthodontic post-graduate course at UPAEP in Puebla, Mexico, professor of Rhinoplasty and facial aesthetic surgery in the fellowship course at the medical school of UNAM and invited professor in the fellowship course of pediatric Maxillofacial and Craneofacial surgery at the Hospital del Niño Morelense in Cuervaca, Mexico. 

Dr. Andrew Read-Fuller is Clinical Assistant Professor and Residency Program Director of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Texas A&M College of Dentistry. He received his certificate in oral and maxillofacial surgery from UT Southwestern Medical Center in 2017 and is certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. In 2018, Dr. Read-Fuller was awarded the Faculty Educator Development Award by AAOMS for his dedication to postdoctoral education in OMS. He has held numerous national and international leadership positions in oral and maxillofacial surgery including serving on the OMS Foundation Board of Directors, the American Association of OMS Committee on Continuing Education and Professional Development, and the North American Representative to the NexGen Committee of the International Association of OMS. Dr. Read-Fuller is interested in the broad scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, with particular interest in the treatment of maxillofacial trauma, temporomandibular joint disease, obstructive sleep apnea, and peripheral nerve repair. Dr. Rafael Ruiz-Rodriguez is a DDS at the National University of Mexico as well as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at the National University of Mexico. He is Board Certified (Mexican Board) and a Past-President of the Mexican Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Rafael Ruiz-Rodriguez is a Professor and exChairman of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Training Program at the National University of Mexico. He is also a member of the Mexican, American, International, Ecuatorian, Bolivian, Colombian and Venezuelan Associations of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Rafael Ruiz-Rodriguez is a speaker in many countries in Latin America and United States (speaker in the last 23 annual meetings of the AAOMS) as well as an author of 37 papers on the specialty.

Nicolás Solano Parra is the Head of Oral and maxillofacial service at the Hospital Coromoto de Maracaibo in Venezuela. He is an Assistant professor in the Postgraduate course of oral surgery. He is also a Faculty of dentistry at the La Universidad del Zulia in Venezuela. Dr. Solano is on the Latin American board in oral and maxillofacial surgery, as well as a member of SVCBMF, IAOMS, and AO Foundation.

Dr. Salvador Soto is a dentist surgeon by the Universidad Autonoma del Estado de Mexico from 2006-2011. He completed an oral and maxillofacial surgery residence at Centro Medico lic. Adolfo Lopez Mateos by the Faculty of Medicine of the Universidad Autonoma del Estado de Mexico from 2014-2018. Dr. Soto is certified by the Mexican Council of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is a member of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Service of the Center of Odontological Specialties of the Imiem (instituto materno infantil del estado de mexico). Dr. Soto is also an assistant professor in the Faculty of Dentistry of the Universidad Autonoma del Estado de Mexico.

Dr. Viamonte completed her training program at the " Hospital General del Oeste" at Caracas Venezuela. She is certified by the Latin American Board of OMS as well a certified surgeon by Operation Smile International and Head of The Cleft Program  "Ayuda a Sonreir " of the Rotary Club of the city of Anaco in Venezuela. She currently is the Chief of the Department of Oral Surgery  and Cleft Patients at Santa Maria University at Caracas, Venezuela  and  currently  a Trainee in the PHD Program of The School of Medicine of the Central University of Venezuela were she is working in  Quality of Life Assessment in Adult Cleft patients.

Dr. Joan Wan is a current higher trainee in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in the University of Hong Kong. She graduated in 2015, worked as Junior Hospital Dental Officer (OMFS) in Prince Philip Dental Hospital from 2015-2016. After 2 years of general practice, she started her studies in Master of Dental Surgery in OMFS in 2018. She is also the current president of the Young Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Group of Hong Kong (YOMSHK). She is researching with her colleagues on accuracy of virtually designed patient-specific guides and plates for orthognathic patients.

Dr. Daniel Zerbinatti completed his residence program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2008. Additionally, Dr. Zerbinatti specialized in TMJ disorders in 2011 and specialized in Implantology in 2013. He was an Assistant Surgeon from 2008 -2019 in Ceddar and an Assistant Surgeon from 2016 – 2019 at Faculty São Leopoldo Mandic. He is a Surgeon of Implantology course in Association of oral surgeons in Campinas (2020) and the Vice-President of  SOBRACIBU (Brazilian society of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery)
