Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Honored with International OMS Day

A Global Celebration

The Purpose

International OMS Day is to celebrate the contributions oral and maxillofacial surgeons make to society around the world and to raise the profile of the specialty. International OMS Day is important because the increased understanding and impact of the oral and maxillofacial surgery specialty (professional relevance and impact on overall quality of life) will help advance oms-related healthcare policy and ultimately improve individual access to care worldwide.

A special message from IAOMS President Dr. Sanjiv Nair...

The History:

The International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (IAOMS) celebrated the first International OMS Day on February 13, 2015.  It is now recognized annually on February 13th! This event was founded to raise awareness and share the role that oral and maxillofacial surgeons play in healthcare on a global scale. It also celebrates the impact that oral and maxillofacial surgeons have on individual lives.
